North West PCS young members' meeting: Class response to riots - a future for young people

Young trade unionists in PCS are organiising a public meeting in the North West to discuss the riots that have taken place this week and how best to respond to them from the left.
The demonisation of young people by the politicians/press, rise of far right, and danger of more oppressive measures introduced by the state to respond to any protests are important developments that we cannot ignore.
Whilst in no way condoning the violence and destruction, we believe we should look into the root causes of anger and disaffection.
