Support Aylesbury hospital staff issued redundancy notices

Staff working at the private hospital Royal Bucks, working with patients with spinal injuries, only got paid 20% of their wages for July.

They were given three days notice of this. A week later they were given 30 days notice of redundancy and that the hospital was closing.

Rather than accepting this, union and non-union members of staff have come together and are campaigning for what they are owed and for their jobs and livilehoods.

They are prepared to speak at meetings and will be out on the streets of Buckinghamshire to publicise their situation.

They, alongside Bucks Health Unison, have set up a hardship fund for the many who are experiencing mortgage and rent difficulties as they are unable to claim benefits.

They are appealing to the labour movement for solidarity in the form of raising the issue at workplaces and for financial donations.

Initially donations can be made payable to Bucks Health Unison and sent to the Union Office, Tindal Centre, Bierton Rd, Aylesbury Bucks, HP19.
