Third prosecution witness from Tommy Sheridan trial now charged
Bob Bird, former editor of the Scottish edition of the News of the World has been charged with perverting the course of justice during Tommy Sheridan's 2006 defamation case and data protection offences.

That means that three former NoW employees who gave evidence in the 2010 perjury trial have now been charged. Bird was a key prosecution witness in the 2010 case.
