Construction workers protest at Meadowhall
About 30 engineering construction workers held an early morning protest today (Thursday 6 September) at Meadowhall, near Sheffield.
The Unite and GMB members were protesting against the refusal of PJ Douglas, the main UK contractor for the construction of a new biomass plant for Eon energy company, to hold meaningful talks with the trade unions about the national agreement, health and safety and the employment of local labour.
