Tube overtime ban

RMT members working at London Underground (LU) stations will start an overtime ban on 24 September in opposition to mayor Boris Johnson’s decimation of jobs and services on the tube.

Despite months of discussions between RMT and London Underground, and two rounds of strikes so far, major job cuts and downgrading is still planned.

Every ticket office is due to close by the end of 2015.

The RMT has threatened more strike action if the cuts aren’t withdrawn.

Arriva Trains Wales

Drivers working for Arriva Trains Wales will strike for 24 hours on 26 September over the misuse of disciplinary procedures. The strike, involving Aslef and RMT members, will start at midnight.
