Visteon workers walk out
WORKERS AT the Visteon plant in Swansea walked out on 17 July. Visteon is the parts organisation hived off by Ford.
The dispute began when a worker refused to go on to a job which had not been agreed between management and the unions. Management responded by saying the worker would not be paid.
At that, all the workers in the plant stopped work. Management then said nobody would be paid. The workers stayed in the factory but when the afternoon shift arrived, everybody walked out.
