We live in an enormously unequal society where the majority of the wealth is in the hands of a tiny few.

Those who bear the brunt of this wealth gap continue to face increasing difficulties. Ethnic minorities in particular are victimised by this profit-motive system. The majority of workers from ethnic minorities are underpaid or unemployed and facing acute poverty.

Since the london bombing in July 2005, racist attack against Asians have increased by over 600%. Stop and searches of Asian people have increased by 84% and black people by 51%. The increased state repression and new anti-terror laws continue to harm ethnic minorities.

None of the major parties, Tories, Labour, or lib-Dems offers any alternative.

Instead they maintain the status quo by doing the bidding of big business. It is this situation, where ordinary people have no political party, which the BNP is trying to exploit. But there is no solution on the basis of their racist ideas.

While Richard Barnbrook, the recently elected BNP member of the Greater London Assembly (GLA) is voicing racist policy at the GLA while the mayor, Boris Johnson, is implementing right-wing racist policies. He banned the anti-racist message of the Rise festival – the biggest anti-racist festival in europe.

Instead of addressing the problems we face, mainstream parties and the New Labour government continue to blame us for them.

Tony Blair and Gordon Brown infamously blamed the black community for increasing gun and knife crime.

While the rotten leaders continue to blame the poor, the Socialist Party looks to build a broad struggle of all working people for decent jobs and services as the long term solution.

Come and participate in the fight to rid our lives of right-wing, racist policies. Join our party to fight for a socialist world without discrimination, without exploitation.
