Successful outcome for Suzanne Muna

The Socialist recently reported that Unison member Suzanne Muna was facing serious disciplinary action from the Housing Corporation. We are pleased to announce that this has been resolved and print below the agreed announcement from Suzanne and the Housing Corporation.

“Following mediation, the Housing Corporation and Suzanne Muna have reached agreement to resolve the issue of the disciplinary and subsequent employment tribunal claim to their mutual satisfaction.”

Disgracefully Suzanne had to defend herself with no assistance from her union official. Union members will be asking why Suzanne was effectively refused representation, which will have to be answered by Unison.

Suzanne, along with three other Socialist Party members in Unison, is also facing disciplinary charges from Unison for campaigning for union democracy.

The next hearing dates are 24-28 November.
