No college cuts in Wales
Trade union members of Unison and UCU at Neath/Port Talbot college staged a protest outside the main gate on 4 March to highlight the damage that will be caused by the Welsh Assembly's £1.6 million cut in its budget.
Around 60 protesters waved banners and placards and urged staff and students to join the campaign to stop these cuts in one of the most deprived areas of Wales.
With cuts across all FE colleges in Wales there was an enthusiastic response for an all-Wales lobby of the Welsh Assembly and further action to defend jobs, conditions and higher education.
