Aldi day of action
Co- ordinated protests will be taking place this Saturday 19 of August in different European countries in support of the Aldi strikers in Dublin, Ireland.
The strike concerns a fight for union recognition and concerns over working hours and pay. The strikers are demanding immediate recognition of the union and the reinstatement of five sacked workers.
This is a small strike faced with a multinational company and a brutally repressive management that is using security guards to intimidate workers who are picketing the shops.
All areas should organise protests outside Aldi supermarkets. Leaflets are available from national office. On Saturday protesters should phone, fax and e-mail the strikers to give support and report on the protests.
