Save Ashford further education
Students and staff at Brooklands college Ashford site in Surrey, previously Spelthorne college, received the shocking news last week that the Ashford college is to close next year. Promises made by the Learning and Skills Council, backed by government, have not materialised - leading to a massive shortfall in funding.
A major public campaign has been launched, supported by the trade unions and the students. The Socialist Party in Surrey and Youth Fight for Jobs are supporting and building the campaign.
