Tube cleaners in pay strike

700 RMT members working for four cleaning sub-contractors on London Underground went on 24-hour strike on 26 June, in protest at their poverty pay.

They are striking again for 48 hours from 1 July. The workers are also demanding better holidays, sick pay, decent pensions and travel facilities.
