Release Janahan from detention!

Tamil Solidarity has demanded the immediate release of Janahan Sivanathan from Morton Hall Immigration Removal Centre (IRC) where he is currently being held. Janahan is an active member of Tamil Solidarity; and detention and the threat of being returned to Sri Lanka pose a serious risk to his life.

For a report and details for giving support, go to the Tamil Solidarity website.

Update on 5.6.15:

Tamil Solidarity reports that Janahan has now been released - see the short statement from the Tamil Solidarity website: http://www.tamilsolidarity.org/?p=4306

This is a significant step forward. It is however a temporary reprieve. TS is therefore asking all those who have supported his right to asylum to keep in touch with the campaign, and to keep up the pressure.
