Stop Top-Up Fees
Join the action
THE COUNTDOWN to the vote on top-up fees has begun. It's
not certain that Tony Blair will get away with this latest attack on our right
to a decent education. Labour MPs know that millions of people are outraged at
a Bill that will price working-class students out of higher education.
But we can't rely on a handful of Labour MPs to fight our
battles for us. We need to build a mass campaign against fees and for free
education.
The youth organisation International Socialist Resistance (ISR),
supported by the Socialist Party, is building in the schools and colleges for
action on the day of the vote in Parliament - Action Day.
If top-up fees are introduced it could only be a matter of
time before students are faced with fees of £5,000, £10,000 or more. If you
don't want to see this happen then join the action. And join us to fight for a
system that meets the needs of ordinary working people, not big business and
the rich.
