Socialist Party member Martin Powell-Davies is standing for vice-president of the NUT. Martin is a practising classroom teacher and an experienced union officer. He is standing for national action to tackle the problems of the intolerable increase in teachers’ workload and to fight for decent pay for all teachers.
“With an effective lead from the top, we can build a strong union in our schools, which will stand firm for teachers and education,” says Martin.
The ballot runs from the end of October and closes on 21 November.
