Stop GSK job cuts
Workers at the Ware GSK site in Herts have organised themselves into the 'Ware Unite and Fight Group'. Backed by the National Shop Stewards Network (NSSN) they plan to start the fight back against redundancies.
Mark Pickersgill
A new leaflet hit the site on 10 February, advertising a public meeting (details below).
The senior stewards seem to have accepted the redundancies but these workers want to fight.
Besides leafleting the site, a stall is being held in Ware town centre outside Tesco on 14 February and further leafleting of the site will take place next week.
Our demands include:
- No to compulsory redundancies.
- Unite to organise a workplace meeting to listen to the members' views.
- Democratic elections of all shop stewards' positions.
- No preferential agreements with outside non-union companies.
No job cuts at GSK, public meeting Wednesday 18 February, 7.30-9.30pm, The Drill Hall, 17 Amwell End, Ware SG12 9HP
