Fujitsu
Members of Unite and PCS working at Fujitsu, will be on strike on 12, 13 and 16 November. This is the first national strike in the IT sector in the UK. The strike is over the threat of 1,200 redundancies, a pay freeze and plans to close the final salary pension scheme.
This follows a 75% vote for strike action and a 92% vote for action short of a strike amongst Unite members and a 68% vote to strike and 85% for action short of a strike by PCS members.
Fujitsu Services made a £200 million pre-tax profit last year. The company employs about 12,000 workers in the UK.
