Jobs under threat at Ministry of Justice

Thousands of jobs at the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) are under threat. The Con-Dem government has announced that £2 billion will be axed from the total MoJ budget of £9 billion. This is the equivalent of the entire prisons budget.

The PCS union calculates that around 15,000 of the 80,000 staff could find their job at risk. And staff have been told that the cuts will be made in the next two years.
