There will be discussions over the weekend on campaigns and industrial struggle today, the history of the workers' movement, Marxist theory, socialist anniversaries, political debate and international issues.

As well as the discussion sessions at the University of London Union (ULU) there is the Rally for Socialism at 6:30pm on Saturday 17 November at Euston Friends Meeting House. For many people the rally is the highlight of the weekend. Three trade union general secretaries are taking part, and the rally will also be addressed by socialists from Brazil and Russia, Huddersfield community campaigner Mel Mills, a postal worker and Socialist Party general secretary Peter Taaffe.

This weekend has the potential to bring together activists from across the country and help in developing a way forward in the struggle against the bosses' offensive and the establishment parties' attacks on working-class people.

Socialist Party members, supporters and readers of the socialist should talk to their workmates, fellow campaigners and trade unionists, friends and neighbours about Socialism 2007. Many workers and young people are looking for an alternative to 21st century capitalism. Make sure they are invited to Socialism 2007 and can debate about that alternative.
