Super-rich super-donators

NEARLY A tenth of all political donations for Britain's capitalist parties, amounting to £17.5 million, are made by 'non-domiciled super-rich' people.

These millionaires and billionaires use Britain's tax laws to escape paying UK tax on all of their income and capital gains in the rest of the world.

All they have to do, providing they do not bring the money into the country, is claim to be linked to some other domicile.

Chancellor Darling is under pressure to amend these tax laws. But possibly not too much.

New Labour has made a huge amount (£8.9 million) in donations from 'non-doms' like Lakshmi Mittal. The Tories got £5.7 million, the Lib Dems £2.9 million.
