Book now for Summer Camp

The 2005 Socialist Party summer camp is only weeks away - it takes place each year on the summer bank holiday, 26 - 29 August 2005. Political sessions are being prepared, marquees and equipment are booked and the crèche and catering plans are well underway. If you still have not booked a place then you need to contact Bill or Jane as soon as possible.

The meetings organised are extremely important for socialists at the present time and there will be plenty of time for discussion.

Our excellent crèche allows parents to attend the meetings while activities such as mountain biking and archery are provided for older children (and adults!).

Socialist Party members and supporters from different areas of the country and from our sister parties in Europe will be coming along.

If you are still undecided then read last year's comments from satisfied campers!

Anyone who does not want to or are not able to camp can come for a day for just £10.

Friday evening 26 August

  • Is nuclear power the solution? - a socialist energy policy. Speaker: Jon Dale

Saturday morning 27 August

  • World War Two: Speaker Dave Nellist

Saturday evening

  • Main Rally: No to terrorism, no to war.

Sunday morning 28 August

  • Fighting sexual harassment and discrimination

Sunday evening

  • How to build a fighting democratic union Speaker Bill Mullins

Monday morning 29 August

  • Political Islam: Speaker Niall Mullholland

ISR will also be organising meetings. There will be a question and answer session on the Socialist Party.

Adults £35, children £12. Day tickets £10 and family rate of £90. Meals £3.50 and the usual burger bar prices.

Climbing wall, aerial runway, archery, mountain biking, canoeing, the high ropes, assault course.

Tents and mattresses can be hired but we need to know in advance (phone Jane James on 020 8988 8762 for prices).

The nearest station is Chelmsford.

Please send in booking form and £5 deposit now.
