Mark Serwotka re-elected

Mark Serwotka, recently interviewed in The Socialist, has been re-elected as general secretary of the PCS. Mark was first elected in 2000 and was returned in December 2009 for another five-year term with 63.4% of the vote. His right wing rival got 36.6%.

PCS faces many battles in the near future, notably fighting the government's attacks on the Civil Service Compensation scheme - where the government is preparing for massive job cuts across the civil service.
