Socialism 2013 is a crucial event for all those wanting to fight back against a world in turmoil. The Con-Dems’ brutal austerity continues, the world economy and Eurozone remain in crisis, revolution and counter-revolution chase each other in the Middle East and mass protests have erupted in Turkey, Brazil, South Africa and elsewhere.
At Socialism 2013, anti-cuts activists, anti-bedroom tax campaigners, trade unionists and youth and student activists will come together for a weekend of discussion and debate.
Socialism 2013 will be a showcase for the socialist alternative to crisis, cuts and capitalism.
We are living in a time of revolts, rebellions and revolutions. Across Europe, millions of workers have been involved in general strikes against brutal austerity unleashed by the bosses and their political lap dogs.
Cyprus has been rocked by the latest reverberations of the economic crisis as working class people are expected to pay the price for a crisis they didn’t create.
In South Africa the working class has found its voice after last year’s miners’ strike with the foundation of the Workers and Socialist Party. All over the world working class and young people are fighting for a future.
But what kind of future are we fighting for? How can we take the fight-back forward? To win we need to arm the movement with the best ideas, strategy and an alternative to a capitalist system that is rotten to the core.
At Socialism 2013, anti-austerity activists and working class fighters will come together for a weekend of discussion and debate. It will be a showcase for the socialist alternative to crisis, cuts and capitalism.
