British Airways pensions

GMB SHOP stewards have unanimously voted to reject the company's pension proposals. A consultative ballot of GMB members is starting on 17 January, with a recommendation from the stewards to vote for industrial action. The stewards were particularly angry that the company's proposals mean that lower-paid workers will bear the brunt of the cuts.

British Airways cabin crew

CABIN CREW staff who are members of the TGWU have voted overwhelmingly to strike over staffing, sick pay and holidays. They are angry at the company's attempts to impose cuts in their working conditions.

96% voted for strike action, on an 80% turnout. Negotiations were due to start on 16 January.
