Jobstown Not Guilty: defend the right to protest

The court case will begin on 24th April of 18 peaceful protesters in Dublin who were part of a sit-down protest and slow march around deputy premier Joan Burton's car during the successful campaign against water charges in Ireland. They are accused of 'false imprisonment' of Burton.

Paul Murphy, a member of Ireland's parliament and the Socialist Party, could lose office if convicted.

Today was an international day of protest against this attempt to criminalise protest and take vengeance against the anti-water charge movement's leadership. Here are some photos of the protest held outside the Irish embassy near Hyde Park in London:
