West London Socialist Party: The housing crisis - a socialist response

Thursday 15th March 2018, 7.30pm

West London Trades Union Club, 33-35 High Street Acton, London W3 6ND

Speaker: Paul Kershaw, chair of Unite housing branch, personal capacity

The housing crisis in west London is acute. It is impossible for ordinary people of all ages to find decent, affordable accommodation. However the Grenfell Tower horror showed that under the profit system tenants are not safe even if they have managed to secure housing. Housing will be one of the key issues in the forthcoming local council elections. What programme should socialists put forward? How can Grenfell survivors be decently rehoused? How can they receive justice for their terrible experiences?
