May Day Greetings
The Socialist prints May Day greetings from socialists, trade unions,
youth and student organisations, from around the world.
May Day greetings are an opportunity to express international
solidarity with workers and poor people exploited by the worldwide
profit system of capitalism.
This system which enriches a handful of super-rich at the expense and
suffering of billions has been unable to solve basic issues of poverty,
disease and hunger, has failed to give adequate relief and
reconstruction aid to the Tsunami disaster victims and has brought us
unending wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
That's why May Day is important in reaffirming readers' commitment to
international socialism, and it's also why you should place a greetings
advert in the socialist, thereby helping to build the Socialist Party.
