Inspiring film of GAMA struggle
IF YOU want to show a film at a Socialist Party or trade union meeting that inspires people to struggle against the bosses' system then you should get a copy of the DVD about the action by the Turkish migrant workers employed by Turkish multinational Gama in Ireland last year.
This is a magnificent film and deserves to be seen by all socialists and members of the trade union movement. Indeed trade union leaders should (but won't unfortunately) show this DVD to all their members to show how struggles can be effective and can be won.
There is also a booklet with more extensive coverage of the events of the dispute that accompanies the DVD. A fuller review of the DVD will appear in a future issue of the socialist.
Regional organisers for the Socialist Party have some copies available for sale or you can order the DVD at £8 a copy, including postage, and/or £4 for the booklet.
Please send orders to Ken Smith, PO Box 24697, London E11 1YD, phone 020 8988 8778, or email kensmith@socialistparty.org.uk.
