Wales manifesto launch
SOCIALIST PARTY Wales launched its election manifesto for the Wales assembly outside Cardiff Royal Infirmary.
Its candidates in the South Wales West and South Wales Central regions are standing as Socialist Alternative - Defend our Health Service.
The BBC reported that while the main political parties are "discovering" the NHS crisis in the run-up to the election, Socialist Party Wales has been campaigning consistently on it for years.
The BBC report included the Socialist Party's demands for the NHS to be rebuilt, free at the point of use, and under democratic control. It also covered a number of our other demands, such as our call for a minimum wage of £8 an hour, a 35-hour week and a massive public spending increase on health, housing, education, childcare, leisure and community facilities.
