What we saw

The BBC is going to stop publishing recipes. The Tory-driven change is to stop it ‘competing’ with the free market.

If the free market is so very marvellous, why hasn’t it already won the competition for best online recipe service? It’s not like Rupert Murdoch can’t afford to tell the world about his trademark macaroni cheese.

The truth is that private firms don’t exist to provide services, they exist to make money. They are incapable of satisfying even the most human basic needs without this.

And they are abject plagiarists, incapable of inventing new ideas, resting on state-funded innovation.
