Solidarity to end LGBT-phobia

Pride month 2016 comes at a time of increased attacks on LGBT people - not least the horrific massacre in Orlando. While there have been steps forward in social attitudes and legal rights, genuine equality remains elusive. The Socialist Party fights for the liberation of all oppressed sexualities and gender identities - and the root cause of oppression and division: capitalism. Two members of the Socialist Party's LGBT group, an acronym we use in the broadest, most inclusive sense, take stock of the fight.

EU: busting the myths that Remain is best for the 99%

As we approach voting day for the EU referendum, panic has set in for the establishment and 'project fear' has been stepped up. The official campaigns on both sides have bandied about arguments full of lies and misrepresentations. We answer three key questions: Does the EU build international solidarity? Does the EU defend workers' rights? Does the EU keep the peace?

Orlando massacre: working class unity to defeat homophobia, terrorism and racism

Homophobia and transphobia do not come from one section of society. LGBT rights have recently been under attack in the US. This is not an 'Islam problem', it is a problem within capitalist society as a whole.

No to the bosses' EU, yes to international solidarity

For an independent workers' voice: The debate on European Union (EU) membership has been reduced in the establishment media to a clash between different wings of the Tory party. But what about if you're outside the 1% elite?

Solidarity with junior doctors: TUC call a national demonstration now!

The BMA's junior doctor committee meets on 7 May to discuss future action following the latest, escalated round of strikes on 26 and 27 April which included a full withdrawal of labour for the first time. The meeting should include a call to the TUC general council to back the junior doctors by calling a national demonstration. This demand was put forward by the civil servants' union PCS and firefighters' union FBU but was scandalously rejected by the TUC on 27 April. The TUC has, at every turn, left the junior doctors' struggle isolated.
