RMT conference 2016: EU and Corbyn coup on the agenda
Delegates welcomed the vote to leave the European Union - the RMT has always opposed the EU. Outside many delegates were clear that it is even more important the union retain its support for TUSC now that the Blairites are attempting to remove Corbyn as leader.

Obituary: Simon Gomery 1968-2016
Simon spent much of his adult life in the Labour Party, but joined the Socialist Party in 2014. He had become increasingly disillusioned with a Labour Party he felt was detached from the working class, and was proud to have been formally expelled for nominating a Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) candidate in his ward for the 2014 elections.

Elections took place on 5 May for the Scottish Parliament, the National Assembly for Wales, the Greater London Authority, and for 124 local authorities in England. The Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition stood to show opposition to the cuts consensus.
