Housing campaigners meet to plan resistance to the Housing Act
The new housing act will destroy social housing and smash up working class communities while doing nothing to help the desperate housing crisis if fully implemented. Over two hundred people attended the Axe the Housing Act 'summit' on 22 October to discuss how to fight back.

Iconic nightclub Fabric closes doors - another victim of austerity?
Comment - nightlife: London's most iconic night club, Fabric, has had its licence revoked. The council claims to be taking the decision with the safety of clubbers in mind. However, just eight months ago, a judge called Fabric a "beacon of best practice".

We won't move! Mass resistance can defeat the Tories' housing act
The Tories' Housing and Planning Bill is now an Act, to be implemented in April 2017. The Kill the Housing Bill campaign set up last autumn is now renamed Axe the Housing Act. Another national demo has been called for 18 June.
