Protesting against Children’s Centre cuts in Somerset
Around 40 to 50 parents and children attended a protest outside a Bath and North East Somerset council meeting.
The council proposes to cut up to 40% from their Children’s Centre budget.Several parents spoke movingly at the Council Scrutiny Committee about the impact these cuts would have. A petition of 200 names and the handprints of 30 children were handed in.
