Racists left speechless
LAST SATURDAY, 8 August, Derby Campaign Against Racism and Fascism, Socialist Party members and Unite Against Fascism surrounded the BNP's only stall in Derby this year.
The four BNP members became: speechless when accused of uselessness on housing, jobs and education; dimly aware that cheap criticism of banking scandals didn't amount to an alternative to capitalist recession; uncomfortable that the BNP's smokescreen for disguised racism and fascism wasn't working.
They faced criticism from passers-by. One woman launched into a loud, sustained and accurate attack on their racism. The BNP folded their stall after 20 minutes without having been able to talk to anyone.
DCARF and UAF activists agreed to work together in the aftermath of the demo, given that the BNP usually respond to losing an argument by picking a fight instead.
