On 9 October, Adaramoye Michael Lenin, a member of the Democratic Socialist Movement, the Socialist Party’s sister party in Nigeria, faces trial – alongside a number of other activists, including Mosiu Sodiq – charged with treason, which carries the death penalty. It is now over a year since the Tinubu government arraigned the defendants as the trial date has been pushed back time and again.

We are asking for another urgent push getting protest letters sent (which can be sent by as many individuals as possible to hc@nigeriahc.org.uk, copying in info@justice.gov.ng, info@njc.gov.ng), trade union motions passed, and signatures added to the petition. Updated material for all of that can be found at nigeriasolidarity.com
