Excellent result! It was confirmed in a meeting with Bart’s Health Trust that linen workers employed by Synergy will receive NHS pay and conditions. Although not being brought in-house at this stage, the trust is to make it a condition for those bidding for the linen and laundry contract that all workers are placed on NHS ‘Agenda for Change’ terms and conditions. This result is further proof that tenacious campaigning and the previous massive Serco workers’ win, are changing the landscape of industrial relations in Bart’s trust for the better!
