Under the Tories, working-class people have struggled financially, and we continue to do so.  The levels of cuts to public services, including downscaling the NHS, is affecting most of the population. Inflation is at a record high, and pensions and benefits in Britain are considerably lower than the European average.

The number of deaths due to draconian benefit sanctions was high before the pandemic. And the shambolic handling of Covid has led to many thousands more completely unnecessary deaths.

Due to the cuts, outsourcing and privatisation of vital health services, the future under capitalism looks bleak for ordinary people.

Greed is the Tory raison d’etre as they award bonuses to their billionaire donors and bail them out.

For the Tories’ greedy billionaire donors, none of them will ever have to struggle and make essential choices. Yet they expect us to.

You’d think the billions in profit that the rich make off the backs of the working class would be enough. Why should we pay for their mistakes?

Working-class people, such as retail and health workers, brought us through the pandemic. People like us.

A lot of people are fed up with the way things are. Sick that the cost of everything has dramatically increased, yet wages, benefits and pensions have not. Many people won’t survive this winter, choosing between heating and eating.

Apparently austerity is a political choice. It’s certainly not the choice of ordinary people.

The Tories are in the process of imploding. They can’t resolve the problems and crises that they have created. And they fully intend to make us pay for their poor decisions and inept governing.

We need a new mass workers’ party. We need to stand up and say “no”. Enough really is enough.
