Unite the Union protested outside Starbucks, in solidarity with Starbucks’ workers in the US, who were striking against low pay and poor working on 17 November. Members of Starbucks Workers United in the US were striking across 100 Starbucks to coincide with the company’s ‘Red Cup Day’.

Precarious workers all over the world need trade unions that will fight for us. More than 250 US stores have won union rights so far. Young people need to join unions, and help organise in their workplace to fight back against the cost-of-living crisis and exploitative employers.

We agreed that solidarity actions – focusing on workers in the four target employers; Costa, Starbucks, Café Nero and Pret – will take place in over 50 cities and towns in Britain.
