Sefton Park Stall
Sefton Park Stall

Conor O’Neill, Liverpool and District Socialist Party

The atmosphere was lively and discussions productive at the Socialist Party campaign stall on 25 May at the gate of Sefton Park in Liverpool. This was the first time Socialist Party members had set up shop in this area but it proved fruitful. Many young workers and students voiced their dissatisfaction with the Tories and Starmer’s Labour, and supported the ongoing strike wave, as well as being open to socialist ideas.

We found an echo especially among young people, which is refreshing and encouraging. This stall was the beginning of a streak of successful paper sales across Merseyside over the following days in Bootle, Liverpool City Centre and a reprise of the Sefton Park stall. Merseyside Socialist Party comrades hope to keep this hot streak up.
