Ballot papers will be sent out for the National Education Union (NEU) vice-president elections on 1 February. Socialist Party member Sheila Caffrey, currently elected to the National Executive, is standing. She is the only candidate who has consistently campaigned for national action for all members, including post-16, support and supply staff, alongside teachers. She pledges to give a fighting lead on funding, pay and workload, while building the union from below.
