Juniors doctors have been fighting for pay restoration since March 2023, trying to repair some of the damage resulting from over a decade of austerity. The tenth round of strikes will take place 24-28 February. Then a reballot of members will be necessary, as demanded every six months by Tory anti-union laws.
Their union, the BMA, says that progress was being made in talks but the Tory government, yet again, has failed to make a credible offer.
With the NHS on its knees, under the blows of Tory cuts and privatisation, those that work in it battle to provide an essential service every single day. This strike action is part of that fight to save the NHS.
