Young people and students have been at the centre of mass protests, in Britain and around the world, against the Israeli state terror being inflicted on the Palestinians.
At different points during over fifteen months of protests, young people have defied attempts to stop us speaking out.
Despite all the attempts of the capitalist establishment to cover for the crimes of Benjamin Netanyahu’s bloody regime, and to intimidate Gaza protesters, tens of thousands still march.
Keir Starmer’s Labour government continues to make excuses for the Israeli state’s slaughter – looking out for the strategic interests of Britain’s capitalist bosses. If trying to protect profits for the super-rich elite means backing war and destruction, Starmer is prepared to do what it takes. Just like he is prepared to hike uni tuition fees and freeze pensioners in Britain.
Students and young people have to keep fighting back. That’s why Socialist Students invites you to attend its annual conference in Leicester on Saturday 8 February.
School, college and uni students from all over England and Wales will discuss how we can build the fightback against Starmer’s attacks. We are building on campuses, in colleges and schools to resist the uni fees hike, demanding free, fully funded education for all.
And we are fighting for a socialist alternative to capitalist misery, not just in Britain but around the world, as the only way to win a decent future free from poverty, war and oppression.
