In our view, the Socialist is the best and most important tool for workers and young people fighting back. With the huge interest in a new party, shown by the enthusiasm for Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana’s ‘Your Party’ announcement, and the struggles developing against a Labour government continuing with brutal austerity, our audience continues to grow.
Since 2022, the cost of posting the Socialist weekly to a subscriber has increased by more than £1.50 a month. Similarly, the cost of posting our sister publication Socialism Today has increased too. Privatised Royal Mail’s profit-seeking bosses continue to hike prices and drive down the quality of service. Of course, the Socialist has consistently campaigned for renationalisation, and in support of postal workers’ struggles.
It is nearly ten years since our subscription prices have increased, to partially offset the increased costs over that time, we are now raising prices.

Solidarity price
Readers of The Socialist buying their copy for the solidarity price of £2, and often for more, is vital for our finances. If you are able to afford more towards the cost of our workers’ publications, please consider topping up your subscription with a regular donation to the Socialist Party’s fighting fund: socialistparty.org.uk/donations
If you are already a member of the Socialist Party, you can consider raising your subs (membership fee), in discussion with your branch or regional treasurer. Thank you for your continued support.
