Visteon offer ballot
Following two days of negotiations between the Unite union and Fords a much improved offer on redundancy pay has been made to the sacked Visteon workers.
Workers at Visteon in Enfield, Basildon and Belfast had been laid off without a penny when the company went into administration.
Workers at the three plants will be balloting this afternoon on this offer. Meanwhile the picketing of the Basildon and Enfield plants and the occupation at Belfast continues.
If the deal is accepted then workers agreed to continue their action until the redundancy pay has been paid into their accounts.
The union is still negotiating on pensions.
