The Socialist Party fights boldly for socialism – a democratic society run in the interests of the many, not for the profits of a wealthy few. We reject the myth that there is not enough wealth to meet everyone’s needs, forcing ordinary people to compete against each other for scarce resources. There is no need to rob Peter to pay Paul.
The wealth exists. In June this year, capitalism produced its first trillionaire. Yet that wealth remains concentrated in the hands of big business and the super-rich.
The poorest 50% of the UK population own less than 5% of the country’s wealth. We say: take the wealth off the super-rich to fund the needs of the majority.
Across communities, workplaces, schools, colleges, and universities, we campaign alongside other working-class and young people against the attacks of this rotten system. The real power in society lies with those who create the wealth – the working class. We are the majority, and we can get rid of this capitalist system of war, oppression, and exploitation.
Capitalism offers no decent future for the vast majority. Living standards are under attack, public services are crumbling, and millions face insecurity.
We fight for every gain that can be won for our class today. But we also fight for more.
Socialist ideas can change the world. But to do that we need to get the ideas out far and wide. And that requires funding.
Socialism 2026, hosted by the Socialist Party, is the largest gathering of socialists, trade unionists, campaigners, and activists planned this autumn. 14-15 November will be a weekend of discussion and debate on how we can build a socialist alternative to capitalism, and strengthen the working-class struggles taking place today.
As part of the Saturday rally, there will be a financial appeal. This year, we are setting a target to raise £50,000.

Fighting fund target reached: £25,527 raised
A big thank you all our members and supporters, who raised fighting funds through campaign activity and donations. Our Socialist Party branches have been busy organising stalls, campaigning, and other activity to raise funds to help build socialist ideas.
£11,500 was raised in the last four weeks alone – an amazing show of support for our ideas.
