Unison Leeds Teaching Trust strike

Theatre assistants at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are taking a fortnight of strike action in their long-running dispute over grading. They currently receiving Band 2 pay for doing Band 3 duties.

Talks to resolve the dispute broke down after Trust bosses claimed they had engaged in discussion using “the wrong paperwork”.

The Trust offered further talks after this period of strike action. But Unison reps have stood firm and demanded the meeting is brought forward, and it took place on Tuesday 30 June.

If the Trust doesn’t take serious steps to resolve the dispute, strikers will have three further days of the current action to discuss next steps, as well as a further fortnight of strike action planned for mid-July.
