Fight for our future!

Youth across Europe are rising up. And on 20 November, school, college and uni students in Britain will be joining them. Socialist Students is building for the biggest-possible walkouts and strikes, coordinating with youth organisations across Europe, including France, Italy, Germany and the Spanish state – where mass youth protests have already been taking place.

Five days before, on Sunday 15 November, Socialist Students is hosting a rally at the Socialism 2026 weekend. Speakers include leaders of the youth protests in France (Alice Cohen-Morzadec from Union Étudiante) and the Spanish state (Laura Spearey from Sindicato de Estudiantes). They will bring lessons of their mass struggles, and reports of general strikes looking set to take place in France on 5 November and in Spain on 11 November. Leaders of the Italian and Belgian youth movements have been invited too.

Socialism 2026 is a weekend of discussion and debate. There are over 40 workshops including on ‘Are the Greens the type of party we need to change the world?’, ‘What role for direct action in the struggle for socialism?’ and a debate ‘Re-armament, conscription and war – how can it be halted?’ Saturday evening also includes a rally, ‘Capitalism is burning, time for socialist change’.

Tickets for school and college students are available at a special discount of £5 per day.
