Joe Snowden, Leeds and West Yorkshire Socialist Party
A renewed sense of optimism was in the air. Over 500 attended the annual With Banners Held High event.
The Socialist Party participated in the event that celebrates unions and socialist organisations. There were also a notably large pro-Palestine presence.
The event started with its usual banner march through the streets of Wakefield. Unions from all over the north of England were present – proudly raising their banner in solidarity for the common cause.
A reminder that the fight is just beginning.
