“We’re the workers’ party,” says Reform leader Nigel Farage – himself an ex-banker. His deputy Richard Tice meanwhile, has avoided hundreds of thousands of pounds in corporation tax, according to the Times. This leader of a ‘workers’ party’ owns £33 million worth of property assets through a company listed in Guernsey to avoid tax. How patriotic!
“All Britons should do their best to pay the minimum tax possible,” Tice said. Is that why councils run by his party have been hiking council tax for ordinary people?
A party of the working class, acting in the interest of the working class would do the opposite: freeze council tax, unfreeze the income tax thresholds and tax the super-rich to fully fund our services – at the very least!
